Guard | 6’4” | Nebraska
#34 – Ryan Anderson (nickname: Rifleman), from Seattle, joins the Flex after a stellar career at the University of Nebraska and stints in Europe and the NBA D-League.
After graduating from Rainier Beach High School, where his team earned a #1 national ranking and a Washington State Championship, Anderson etched his name all over the Cornhusker basketball record books. He started 101 games from 2007-10, and was only the third Husker ever to score 1,000 points, grab 500 rebounds, tally 150 three-pointers, and record 150 assists and steals. Anderson’s versatility at both ends of the floor is evidenced by his being third all-time in three-point field goals made at Nebraska, and fifth all-time in steals; in 2010, he led the Huskers in scoring, rebounding, and steals.
Following his career at Nebraska, Anderson played professionally in Holland and Germany, as well as with the NBA Developmental League teams Texas Legends, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Erie BayHawks.
Anderson says his best personal basketball moments were scoring 45 points in a high school game while being guarded by current Houston Rockets guard James Harden, and beating NBA All-Star Kevin Durant in a 3-point shooting contest in high school.
In 2011, Anderson released a rhythm-and-blues CD under the name Ryan Christian on his own Very True Records label.
